went to zhiyong's house yesterday, with what was supposed to be a pre-birthday surprise party. but being 2b, there were quite many latecomers, so the surprise wasn't such a surprise, cause the pizza came earlier than us, which effectively gave us away. and the ice cream cake melted!!! so cui
did nothing much there, except to rot and talk rubbish and watch tv. but we did play twister! 3 rounds of 3 persons, culminating in a strip. hahaha
then we went lorong 9 for supper. beef hor fun and frog porridge. =) always a simple happiness to see them, though i'm always tired out from waiting for latecomers.
returned home at 130am. damn tired. shall post more pics when i get them. leen ar!
and now going out soon. the break is gone!!! so fasT!!

i don't think i've ever pro-actively liked a guy. by that, i would mean that i like the guy before realising he likes me. i'd rather wait for things to happen, i'm lazy that way. or more accurately put, i guess i'm not courageous enough. to give my feelings out before anything is known, i'm scared of doing such a thing, scared of rejection, and getting my heart broken. so i always admire those who dare to say out their feelings.
and i wonder whether the love you work for and the love i wait for is of the same intensity, and of the same amount. but such questions will never have answers. what matters is that eventually we find the happiness we want.
went shopping today!!! 12noon-8pm, damn tired! walked bugis orchard tampines. wahlao. haha and yet things aren't complete yet.. prepare for nice stuff!!! =D

we've come a long way. from that unknown date in dec 05, we've shared memories for 1 yr 8 mths and counting.
in my heart, i know you love me, but i always want to hear you say it, see you mean it. and so i've been a rather temperamental person to love. i try to change, but always fail. yet you're forever patient and forgiving with me, thanks darling.
when you said to be happy together, did you ever imagine that we would have ended up being the one for each other? i don't think i did, but i knew i was going to try hard to treasure u after hk.
i love holding your hand, lying on your shoulder, sitting quietly beside you, watching you eat, watching you sleep, kissing you in the morning, kissing you at night, talking to you about my friends, problems, family. i love how you know all my friends, and remember most of what i said. i love your warmth & your kindess to me. i love how frank you are, and makes me feel that everything that's yours is also mine.
the few times i made you cry, and hurt you, my heart broke and resolved harder to make our love last. and yet each time, i repeat my mistake. i don't want to let go of your hand, no matter what, don't give up on me alright darling?
saturday when i heard your name announced by my mother, i was surprised. then i was more surprised to see you holding a bouquet of flowers, and dressed up in a shirt, with a haircut. even without the flowers, just the sight of you would also have completed my day. then i was surprised beyond words to see the ring. my heart almost stopped, i didn't know how to react. and in that moment, i realised how important i was to you, and it made me want to cry. the ring symbolised everything that lies ahead of us, and the unspoken promise of you to me, that we will go on together. it really touched me.

My 21st birthday celebration should be more accurately described as a celebration of how fortunate I am, to have such kinship, friendship and love. The love overwhelmed me, and touched me deep in the core of my heart.
The chalet was booked 3 months ago, and invites sent out at the beginning of August. I began getting excited 2 weeks before the party, and Hong said I was mad. But they're even madder, already conspiring in mid August to surprise me.
On Friday, the night before the party, I met Yinjie, Hong, Weeinn and Alfred to go down to the chalet together. Original plan was to play 1 or 2 rounds of mahjong then get a good rest.

In the end, I slept at 3am, they at 6am.
In between they polished off some very nice tarts!
Alfred says he like to play mahjong with us! Must be cause he win our money. hahaha
Saturday morning 080907, we woke up late morning and did deco. Balloon in-charge Alfred pumped balloons, and also designed the guest-board, with input from us, and at the request of Weeinn.

And when finally, the decoration in-charge Yinjie woke up, we started getting busy. Leen and Tingyan joined us for lunch and then helped out in hanging streamers, banners and balloons.

Then finally, I was ordered up to bathe while they finish up.
By the time I finished bathing, the deco of the chalet was done, and the attention then shifted to decorating me. =p

-First and foremost, my parents and brother, for organising and preparing the party. Also for loving me all these 21 years, in spite of my flaws, and helping shape me into who I am today.
-My extended family, for putting so much effort in the presents and personally attending the party.
-My sisters, hong, yinjie, tingyan, leen, weeinn and alfred. For decorating the chalet so beautifully and sharing my excitement. You made the party special, and you made me feel special. I could not have done this without you. I am blessed to have you as friends. 9 years of friendship already, and we shall continue this strong and loving friendship.
